I have had the pleasure of working for both of these giant tyre companies. Before I opened my first tyre retail operation here in Yorkshire, UK,.
Dunlop owned a retail organisation known as “National Tyres.". Therefore, my first job was to become their Dewsbury branch. Because we were owned by Dunlop, we had to sell mainly Dunlop products. So, I can honestly say it was the first step onto the ladder of a lifetime love for the tyre trade.
It was with Dunlop that I first learned about tyres and how they were made. For this reason, I had many friends in the company. Of course, it was there that I started to gain much confidence in my abilities. Therefore,I was promoted to an office position.
Bringing this post up to date, here we are in 2020, going on for 2021. Dunlop is still a big player in the tyre market. Of course, Dunlop is always present at most motorsport events across the planet. Here in the UK, Brexit has now been finalised, and we are expecting our tyre stocks to become available from all over the world and not just Europe.
